Medicare Urgent Care Clinic Providing High Quality Care to Coffs Community
In the first six months of operation, the Coffs Harbour Medicare Urgent Care Clinic has treated over 2500 patients, and all the community have needed is their Medicare card to access the timely health service.
Opened in November 2023, The Coffs Harbour Medicare Urgent Care Clinics provides walk in, bulk billed, urgent health care from highly qualified doctors and nurses.
Across Australia, Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are providing free health care with extended hours, 7 days a week. You don’t need an appointment or referral. You can walk in and wait to be seen by highly qualified doctors and nurses. All you need is your Medicare card.
Already in NSW our newly opened Medicare Urgent Care Clinic have clock up some impressive statistics, including:
- The largest proportion of patients have been children, with over 1 in 4 (30%) visits from individuals aged under 15 years.
- Over 1 in 4 (30%) visits to a NSW Medicare UCC have taken place on the weekend.
- Of the visits that took place during weekdays at NSW Medicare UCCs, 1 in 5 (19%) have taken place at 5pm or later.
The Albanese Government is continuing to strengthen Medicare and ensure families get the medical care they need when they need it.
